Kellie is a dynamic performer and educator who inspires and amazes audiences of all ages. She is
a multitalented and dynamic entertainer, trained in ventriloquism, theatre, puppetry, music and dance. Kellie has been performing with her puppets Magrau and Kamilla since she was eight-years-old. | Stein award from the Tourette Syndrome Foundation
of Canada, in recognition on an individual who has made an outstanding difference in the quality of life for those living with Tourette Syndrome. Her wit, compassion, and talent have inspired young people living with challenges to discover their own individual talents. Kellie wrote and performed two long-running stage shows, which were presented at the HR MacMillan Space Centre planetarium from 2000-2003. Frogs In Space: Kamilla’s Quest, and Rocket Magrau: Space Bird! were hugely successful multi-media shows featuring filmed segments, animation, live interactive ventriloquism, singing, and dancing. Rocket Magrau: Space Bird! opened a the Vancouver International Children’s Festival. Kellie released her CD Songs From Space in 2003.
With her musical collaborator, Craig McCaw, Kellie has provided vocals for the theme song Hamtaro, a popular animated children’s program. She has puppeteered for
various projects including the television program The Collector. Kellie and her puppets are featured performers on the educational video Tourette is Powerful. Kellie opened
the first Vancouver Kids Fringe with her one-woman ventriloquist show, A Space To Play, featuring Magrau, Kamilla, and Funnie the Sock, and included original songs
and dance routines. The play received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Kellie has been featured in countless radio and print pieces for her performance work. Kellie, Magrau, and Kamilla have performed at many big events, including a mentor brunch at the Players Club in New York, and at a TSA (Tourette Foundation of America) Tribute to Dr. Oliver Sacks in L.A.
Kellie graduated with an Honours in drama and a minor in English Literature. At university she played lead roles in Two Gentlemen of Verona and Peer Gynt. She
went on to teach drama to youth with addictions, and create an instructional manual
on clowning.
